Located in central Queenstown, Tatler is a romantic restaurant steeped in history. Originally built in 1863, the two level building has been carefully restored and welcomes guests to a warm, wooden interior with many original features still in evidence.

Tatler offers bistro style dining downstairs with lake views from the outdoor tables.

Upstairs there is cosy fire-side dining in the Spectator Room with lake views from the sunny balcony.

For Valentines Day, Tuesday 14 February 2012, Tatler is offering a romantic five-course menu featuring the traditional foods of love ... oysters, chocolate and strawberries.

Couples who book in advance will be presented with a long-stemmed red rose.

Antipasto platter to share featuring grilled prawns, green lip mussels, cold smoked sea run salmon, venison salami, marinated green and kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, Cheese, homemade pesto and toasted bread selection

Sorbet
Raspberry and lime sorbet

Main Course
Grilled beef eye fillet on truffled potato mash with sautéed wild mushrooms,
green beans with crispy bacon bits and pinot noir jus
or
Seared yellow fin tuna steak on a bed of vermicelli noodles, crisp Asian greens and a sweet soy-wasabi dressing,
topped with a grilled king prawn
or
Corn-fed chicken breast filled with a home-made fruit chutney, placed on a baked walnut polenta cake
with buttered greens and finished with boysenberry coulis

Dessert
Assiette for two featuring white and dark chocolate mousse, crème brûlee,
lime and coconut panna cotta and macerated strawberries
