The Spectator Room

The Spectator Room is Tatler's exclusive upstairs function room, available by arrangement for meetings and and private events such as board meetings, weddings and cocktail parties.

The Spectator Room is also a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner or special occasion with friends. With its open fire, private bar and balcony with lake views, any event is enhanced by the historic ambience of the Spectator Room.

The Spectator Room is also a great venue to watch live rugby in Queenstown.

On All Black test nights, our data projector and MySky mean you can combine the game and a great meal into one package.

We can seat 40 guests upstairs - 28 in the main area and the covered, heated balcony can seat another 12.

For stand up functions we can accommodate 60 guests upstairs.

The private bar and bathroom mean that functions in the Spectator Room are totally self-contained.

Unlike most Queenstown venues, the Spectator Room and its balcony are licenced until 1.30am, meaning guests are welcome to drink, smoke and relax while enjoying the lake and mountain views until the early hours.

We offer special function menus or groups of less than 20 guests are welcome to dine a la carte.

We don't charge hire fees but please note that a minimum food and beverage spend applies for exclusive use of the Spectator Room, ranging from $300 to $2,000 depending on the season as well as on the time of day and day of week.
