Reservation Policy for Group Bookings at
Tatler, Prime and 12Bar


Thank you for your interest in holding a function at Tatler/Prime/12Bar. Our team will do all we can to ensure the success of your event.

Our booking policy follows.

At the time of reservation, please advise our Functions Manager:

•  Event date, time, number of attendees and name of group;

•  Name of organiser and his/her company, email address, landline and cellphone numbers.

•  Preferred menu and beverage option and preferred arrival and dining time. Please note that Tatler, Prime and 12Bar may impose a finish time in accordance with QLDC licencing regulations.

•  Unless your company has an account with us, we require a credit card number, name and expiry date to guarantee the reservation, as well as details of proposed settlement of bill if by other means than supplied credit card.

•  Any special dietary requirements of guests or other needs such as entertainment, sound or video system, speaker requirements, table plan, place-cards, exclusive use of venue, etc.

Tatler, Prime and 12Bar undertake to provide the requested menu and beverage list for the specified number of guests, preceded by a detailed estimate of the likely cost for the event. On acceptance of this estimate, a deposit of 20% of this amount will be charged against the credit card with which we have been provided. If preferred, you can provide this 20% deposit in the form of cheque, cash or direct credit. A surcharge of 20% applies when functions are held on statutory holidays.

Because we make a special effort to provide the required food, beverage and staff for functions, we need to recover our catering costs in the event of a cancellation.

Final participant numbers must be advised 72 hours in advance of the function – this will be the minimum number for which you will be charged. An increase in numbers may be able to be accommodated, depending on available space and ingredients.

If a function is to be cancelled, we must be advised at least 72 hours in advance.

Cancellation of an event or reduction in numbers advised to us between 72 and 24 hours in advance will attract a cancellation fee of 50% of quoted estimate.

Cancellation or reduction in guest numbers advised to us less than 24 hours prior to the event will incur a charge of the full quoted estimate. No-shows on the day will also incur the full quoted charge.

Groups of more than 30 guests at Tatler will require exclusive use. A booking of more than 50 guests at Prime would require exclusive use. Exclusive use of each venue requires a minimum spend, made up of food and beverage, which will be provided to you during the estimate quotation. If a reduction in numbers means that this minimum cannot be reached, then we may:

a) Cancel the exclusive-use option, allowing other patrons to be present during the event or;

b) Impose a surcharge to make up the difference between actual and required minimum spend.

We are able to cater for a certain number of patrons at any one time; for large events we may need to hire additional equipment, the cost of which may be passed on to event organisers.
